Associate Project Coordinator

Our client is a $5 billion financial services institution with 450 employees in 37 locations throughout Michigan and northeast Wisconsin providing short term and long term credit, as well as a variety of other products and services, such as commercial property insurance, life and disability insurance, accounting services, tax planning and preparation, and appraisals.

The following are high level requirements for the role:

  • 1+ years of professional experience in Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience with project management methods and processes
  • Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, and track project performance                           

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate within the PMO on project related documentation, tools, and processes
  • Ensure that all project data is being accurately maintained within the PM tool
  • Analyze projects’ performance, expenditures, risks, issues, and deliverables
  • Review PMO standards and adherence to those standards
  • Track and analyze project performance, schedule variances from baseline
  • Analyze report data and make necessary corrections
  • Develop reports to allow for better project tracking and communication to stakeholders
  • Perform quality assurance on projects
  • Review closed project documentation to ensure completeness
  • Assist Project Managers as needed                        

Experience  

  • 1+ years of professional experience in Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience with project management methods and processes
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Experience creating work breakdown structure (WBS) - translate requirements into tasks
  • Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, and track project performance                           
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • MS Project or other project management software
  • MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
