SharePoint Administrator

Our client is a long standing, Michigan based manufacturer with an industry leading product line sold worldwide.  The company manufactures their own production equipment and raw materials used in the manufacturing process.  They are growing rapidly and incorporating corporate wide technology advancements.  They are seeking a Senior level SharePoint resource who can act as a technical lead on their SharePoint advancement within the organization.

The following are high level requirements for the role:

  • Six (6) years of experience in SharePoint 2010+ administration
  • Six (6) years of experience with Windows Server 2008+
  • Four (4) years of experience with creating and managing PowerShell scripts

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and manage Web Servers, SharePoint Server Farms, and all other web-related on-premises and cloud systems
  • Lead projects from a technical perspective
  • Provide a source of expertise in incorporating and implementing Web and SharePoint Solutions
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain changes to Web and SharePoint Systems
  • Provide support in enhancing the Web and SharePoint Server Infrastructure\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s operation and performance
  • Act as final point of escalation for service ticket and problem resolution
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments and champion changes to current standards, procedures, and solutions
  • Work closely with other members of the Web Technologies Team to ensure the success of the team\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s duties and responsibilities
  • Support infrastructure and administration needs of other CMS tools, such as Umbraco
  • Provide mentorship and training to associate and mid level Web Systems Administrators
  • Act as a final escalation point for technical issues on the Web Administration Team

Experience:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of System Administrator or equivalent experience
    • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of System Administrator or equivalent experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems or related field of study and four (4) years of System Administration or equivalent experience
  • One of the following:
    • Six (6) years of experience in SharePoint 2010+ administration
    • Six (6) years of experience in Project Server 2010+ administration
  • Six (6) years of experience with Windows Server 2008+
  • Four (4) years of experience with creating and managing PowerShell scripts
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization, SharePoint 2007-2016, IIS, MS Project Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL Server
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally navigate novel and tense situations in a customer service environment
  • Up to 10% domestic travel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends and holidays as required
