Fall Signifies Changes
Adrienne Moulton, Marketing & Communications Manager, RMC
Labor Day is upon us already (somehow). On this Holiday, we celebrate the contributions we as American workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. We find ourselves reflecting on our careers and the achievements we’ve made. Am I where I want to be? Has this job allowed me to make strides towards reaching my goals? If we can’t answer these questions with an affirmative response, then it is a natural time to assess the job market and begin to look for a new opportunity.
RMC of course is here for you if you realize you are due for some ‘career soul searching.’ We have several adventurous IT opportunities with impressive clients throughout Michigan. Whether you’re entry
to mid-level, senior-level or Manager/Director, we have top caliber roles you may be interested in hearing about. You never know when that next step in your career may be right around the corner, and you owe it to yourself to explore what’s out there.
Now, you may end up spending your Labor Day beginning a new job search or maybe you end up spending your day soaking up the last bit of Summer rays. But I think we can all agree on one thing: Labor Day weekend seems to mark the end of Summer. At least in our mindset.
For a lot of us, our ‘career extracurricular’ activities become dormant, or close to, during the Summer. Kids are on Summer Break, so of course it’s the best time to plan family vacations or get big projects done around the house. With attendance being lower and Meetup Group Organizers being busy themselves, many regular, monthly User Group Meetups go on a temporary hiatus. But with the new school year starting back up and kids dusting off those backpacks, our favorite IT User Group Meetups are resuming as well.
The Fall schedule is starting to bulk up with great talks and presentations. If you’re a regular reader of our newsletter, you know we include our monthly calendar of events to keep you apprised of all the happenings that are trending in our local communities. For your convenience we also include a featured list of our current, hottest Tech Jobs in the Greater Lansing and Metro Detroit areas. Please feel free to check them out!
As always, if you have any questions about the IT job market, need job search assistance or resume advice we are here for you. If you have IT positions you need help filling, we would also be more than happy to offer our expertise. In either case, we can be reached at (517) 999-5410 or [email protected]. Enjoy the rest of the Long Weekend and Happy Labor Day!
